Fyzikálne vlastnosti dreveného eurohranola prispievajú k tepelnoizolačným kvalitám okna - drevo má nižšiu tepelnú priepustnosť ako plast, preto pri hrúbke dreveného rámu 6.8 cm okno nepremrzne ani neprefúkne, takže aj v zime je drevené okno zvnútra teplé.

Je dôležité vybrať si správny farebný odtieň. Pre euro okná sú najvhodnejšie stredné odtiene, ktoré veľmi nepriťahujú slnko. Pri tmavých farbách môže byť teplota na povrchu až dvojnásobná oproti svetlejším odtieňom, svetlejšie farby zase majú menej pigmentov, ktoré chránia proti UV žiareniu.
